One more collab with my good friend I enjoyed so much working this piece out. It brought me back to my first steps on space art.
This was the starting point for me: [link] So as you can see made that awesome render, and I did all the rest: planets, color, contrast, brightness, the sun, the clouds, asteroids, all the trees, and shore rocks.

What really makes this is that long streak in the sky with no "fireball" at the end, since it looks like the leftover trail of another metor that has already collided somewhere else. I do think the landscape around the explosion needs to be brighter and have more contrast against the shadows since an explosion in the dark is bound to really illuminate the surrounding area in bright orange. It could probably be as easy as painting in an orange, soft "colour dodge" brush under the explosion layer (unless it's been flatted onto the landscape already) which would brighten that area up nicely. Anyway, it's a pretty well put together peice overall. Can't think of anything else to add
